Ludwig "Luddy" Ohl

Ludwig was a camper at the age of 7. He is from Youngstown and an Ohio University graduate. He joined the staff and worked as a tent leader (1939), camp storekeeper (1940), Ot Yo Kwa Village Director (1941), and Waterfront Director (1942). He was 20 yeas old in 1942, and as Waterfront Director his duty was to teach beginning swimming, advanced swimming, and lifesaving. Karl Soller and Hal Davies worked along side him in 1942 as Craft Director and Horse Director, respectively. He served in the Navy as an Ensign during World War Two and was killed defending his country in September 1944.
