Beede's Flat

Beede's Flat is the clearing located south of Beecher and Skeggs Lodges. It is the current location of the climbing tower and Horses. It was less than half of its current size prior to land being cleared for a new Equestrian Facility in 2010. The Safari Range is located down a short trail south of the flat.

History

The flat is named after Fred Beede (Brother of Dike Beede) and his wife who camped their for four summers early is the history of camp's current location. In the 1970's Beede's Flat was the site of Fort Eagle.
